Please join us on Saturday, September 24, 2016 for our 8th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk at Bethpage Community Park (located in parking lot of Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center). This event brings awareness and support for the many Long Islanders that we help every year. Help us help our neighbors in need!
The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run is a national program that provides funding for local Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP)
Conferences and Councils. Funds raised from these events remain local, allowing local SVdP Conferences/Councils to provide emergency assistance
to those in need, regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender. Last year, over 4,500 SVdP Conferences and Councils provided 11.5 million service
hours to help almost 15 million people in the United States.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run is a national event coordinated by the Development Team at the
National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
