The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a unique fund raising effort organized nationally and locally by Councils and Conferences of the Society. It allows community members from all walks of life across the country to participate in a simultaneous, nationwide event to raise national awareness of the challenges faced by the nation’s poor and to raise significant funds for use in direct service to the poor. Join the Duncan Family Farms Team in our 6th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk and help us make a difference in our community. This year’s walk will take place on September 24th, 2016 @ 6p.m. Benefits of participating in the Walk: • The Walk raises funds for direct service to the poor in your community. • The Walk raises awareness about the challenges faced by the nation's poor. • The Walk increases the Society's national visibility. • The Walk provides a terrific opportunity to involve family members and friends and members of the general public in helping the poor in your community. • The Walk helps develop significant public donor participation. Join us in making this as much of a success as last year. Bring your friends and family and help make this event a success as we all come together to help our local community. We look forward to seeing you at this very important event. If you are interested in joining the Duncan Family Farms Team stop by our new offices at: 18969 W. McDowell Road Buckeye, AZ.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run is a national program that provides funding for local Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP)
Conferences and Councils. Funds raised from these events remain local, allowing local SVdP Conferences/Councils to provide emergency assistance
to those in need, regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender. Last year, over 4,500 SVdP Conferences and Councils provided 11.5 million service
hours to help almost 15 million people in the United States.
The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run is a national event coordinated by the Development Team at the
National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
